I made a start on the rewrite of THE CURSED MAN this week, and am already making good headway. The scope of the rewrite is all over the place. There are scenes which I felt I got mostly right the first time around, and then there are parts that needed to be completely rewritten or removed. Some of the background politics needed a bit of fiddling, but I believe I now have it all nailed down. As of right now, the rewrite has so far added around 2,000 words to the rough manuscript. My goal is for the finished book to be around 100,000 words.

I will probably focus on getting THE CURSED MAN finished now, before returning to THE DRAGON MISTRESS. As the two stories run in parallel, it might be easier to finish the former, so that I can use it a reference for the latter. As THE CURSED MAN is split into three parts, I'll be getting beta readers involved as soon as I've finished the first part, which shouldn't be too long now. Perhaps in the next couple of weeks. I've got some ideas for a new name for the book, too, but will write an update about that later, when I've had more time to consider them.
