I finished work on THE CURSED MAN this morning (other than one last spellcheck, and some tidying of indents). It's great to have it all finished after almost a year of working on the book. I'm considering the book done now, the work being the best I can do before it receives input from an editor. I'll be returning to work on THE DRAGON MISTRESS after a short break from writing for the remainder of the month. The final word count is 110,945, about 10,000 words more than I was expecting. I imagine that might come down a little bit (or possibly even rise) upon editorial advice, but that's all to be seen. The next step is to start approaching agents with the work, and then maybe one day it will be available to buy from a bookstore.
